Cooking Instructions 

  • Prepare the Chickpeas: If using dried chickpeas, soak them overnight and cook until tender. If using canned chickpeas, drain and rinse them well. 

  • Cook the Base: In a large pan, heat some oil and add chopped onions. Sauté until golden brown, then add ginger-garlic paste and cook for another minute. 

  • Add the Spices: Add Smoky Mountain Chana Masala to the pan and stir well. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until the oil separates from the mixture. 

  • Combine and Simmer: Add the cooked chickpeas to the pan and mix well. Add water or chickpea cooking liquid to reach the desired consistency. Simmer for 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. 

  • Serve: Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice, naan, or roti.
